Cody Messick is a doctoral student in physics at Pennsylvania State University and was part of the team that detected the presence of gravitational waves at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) in Washington State and Louisiana in 2015. The team of scientists he’s part of won the Nobel Prize in Physics in October 2017.

Mitchell Jackson is the author of the award-winning novel “The Residue Years.” Second novel “Survival Math” is to be published in 2018. He’s a professor of creative nonfiction writing at New York University, adjunct instructor at Columbia University and popular national speaker for youth.
Dr. Debra Jenkins is the chair of Clark College’s Behavioral Sciences division and 25-year employee. She’s also a developmental life coach, teacher and presenter with expertise in lifespan development, issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and institutional climate/organizational change.
Jeanne Mack is a retired principal and executive director of Vancouver Schools. She’s co-author of “Help One Student to Succeed Math Program.” She was the first executive director of the Vancouver Schools Foundation to grow its endowment to $1 million.
Steve Morasch is a land use, real estate and litigation attorney at Landerholm. He’s received wards from the Wall Street Journal, American Jurisprudence and Vancouver Business Journal. He is chair of Clark County Planning Commission. He was on Clark College’s Alumni Board from 2004-2007 and the Alumni Scholarship Endowment Committee from 2005-2006.
Clark Alumna Nancy Boyce is the first female field mechanic for Caterpillar Inc., in Alaska. She owns a heavy machine repair business in Alaska. She’s Alaska Journal of Commerce’s Top Forty Under 40 award winner and finalist for the Association of Equipment Management Professionals Foundation’s Technician of the Year Award.
Alumni Glenn and Betty Tribe are the recipients of the Clark College Foundation Presidential Award 2017. The award was presented to the Tribes during the Savoring Excellence donor gala on November 2, 2017.
